Hello, Empire
You start with nothing. No money, no factory, no customers — just the only loan anyone will give a nobody, at a rate that shows exactly what they think of you. What you build from there is yours, right up until someone decides it should be theirs.
That’s Megacorp Empire.
It’s a business game you play in a browser — not a clicker, not a spreadsheet with a coat of paint. You buy from the people who grow things and sell to the people who package them, on deals you can’t walk away from once you’ve signed. Prices move because other players moved them, whether or not you were watching. The numbers behind your company are the game — not a menu you check, the thing you actually play. Companies can own other companies. You can lose control of the one you built.
Why this game, why now
Most tycoon games let you build in peace. Megacorp Empire is about what happens when the world doesn’t wait for you. This is a game of days, not minutes — you make a decision and then live with it for a while. The market keeps trading while you’re asleep. Fall behind on what you owe, and the bank can take the thing you borrowed against before you’re back at the keyboard.
- Borrow before you build — your first decision isn’t what to make, it’s how much to owe and on what terms
- Deal with a market that’s alive — other players are in it, it’s held together by promises, and it does not care about you
- Own the companies — sell off pieces of what you own, buy your way onto someone else’s board, swallow a rival whole, or get swallowed
It’s free to play, with nothing to buy at the door. One reset after the public beta, promised up front — after that the world is permanent, and grudges pile up.
